Why We Started
When a friend brought home her first cat, I watched her get completely overwhelmed. There were so many products out there, but most felt either too cheap and flimsy or unnecessarily expensive. She spent weeks trying to figure out what actually mattered — what would make her cat happy and her life easier — and what was just marketing noise.
That's when I realized: new cat owners deserve better options. Not fancy, not pretentious — just thoughtfully chosen products that work, look good, and won't feel like a second job to maintain.
I started Mimi Cat Living because I wanted to be that person who actually understands what you need, curates products that are worth your money, and stands behind every recommendation. No algorithms telling you to buy fifteen things you don't need. Just real solutions for real cat parents.
Our Story
I'm Filipa, and I run Mimi Cat Living from my home. This isn't a massive warehouse operation — it's me, choosing every single product we feature, thinking about how it fits into the lives of people who are just starting their cat journey.
I spent months testing different suppliers, reading hundreds of reviews, and asking myself one question for each product: Would I actually recommend this to a friend? If the answer wasn't a clear yes, it didn't make the cut.
The aesthetic you see here — clean, calm, a little Scandinavian — that's intentional. Cat owners today don't want their homes to look like pet stores. You want products that fit your life and your home's look. Everything we've chosen reflects that.
